Hot to change resolution on my new Canon SD1000 camera?

Can you give me EASY instructions on how to change the resolution of pics I'm taking? The first pictures I took look great on the camera and on the computer. But when I emailed one to myself for practice it was huge when it arrived: 2.88MB. Resolution was a whopping 3072x2304. I guess that's the camera's default. How do I change it to something more reasonable like 1600x1200? I tried the MENU button but didn't see an option to change resolution. If you could please give me simple step-by-step instructions I'd be so grateful; I'm such a novice at this. Thanks.Hot to change resolution on my new Canon SD1000 camera?
I don't know what the guy who answered your question at top is talking about. Here is the real answer. I own SD1000 too (I love it)

1) Make sure the switch is on camera

2) press %26quot;Func.Set%26quot;

3) Left side of the screen there are options, go down where it says %26quot;L%26quot; when %26quot;L%26quot; is highlighted choose which ever size you want by going to the right and press SET.

The other guy who answered the question answered it fine. M3 refers to the resolution size: 1600 x 1200. He offered exactly the same directions.

Press the FUNC button

Use the %26lt; or %26gt; to select the image size that you want.

Try M3, which is 1600 x 1200. The pixel dimensions are displayed above the icons when you have each one highlighted.

If you don't touch anything for a couple of seconds the camera saves your new setting or you can hit FUNC again to save it.
