The image looks blurred. I tried changing screen resolution (which I know nothing about) to no avail. I looked through other settings on the desktop appearance in Control Panel, but found nothing which helped. I'm not very savvy about this stuff. What is the resolution of the background image? If its lower than your screen resolution then it will be stretched to fit which will make it 'blurred'. Either get a better resolution image, lower your screen res (NOT RECOMMENDED) or dont use the stretch option.
