  • How can I Improve FS2004 (FS9) Frames with my Specs?

    Okay, here's the rundow:

    I've got Vista Home Premium

Intel Core Duo 1.5 GHz Processor

and 3 GB of RAM. I have all of the FlyTampa scenery you can get your hands on also. I've also got TrackIr, Adobe's AI Traffic Pack, and some payware planes. I have all of the Scenery settings to the lowest, Airplane settings to Medium-High, Weather to lowest, traffic to 90%, and Global Mass Texture to massive. Now before anything else, I have to have AI. I can't live without it. Second, I can't stand low textures and scenery. My frames are locked at 24. One second I am getting 23.9 or 23.8, then the next 5 minutes I'm getting 4 FPS. For example, I just did a 4-5 hour flight from Honolulu to San Francisco. On final, the frames dropped to about 2. I can't fly unless the game is running smooth. So I pause the game and go watch an episode of Mythbusters. Well, maybe not that long, but you get the picture. So I want to know how to run FS2004 with full settings and have it run smooth.

P.S. Does it make a difference if you change the Screen Resolution to a lower setting? I have mine at the highest (I think 1280 X 800).How can I Improve FS2004 (FS9) Frames with my Specs?
Screen resolution affects the performance too.

How can I make my icon on AIM one of my pictures?

I'm trying to turn one of my pictures into an aim icon. I have changed the resolution drastically and I have shrunk the photo to where I can barely see it, its so small and blurry yet aim still gives the message that the file is too large. I don't know how it's possible. Does anyone know the dimensions or something else I can do to make this fit right? Thanks. How can I make my icon on AIM one of my pictures?
    1) [Download AIM 6.0 or 6.1]

    2) Go to www.aim.com

    3)Go to the downloads/fun roll-over and click %26quot;plugins%26quot;

    4) Download the Budddy Icon Maker plugin

    5)Open/Restart AIM

    6) Make Icons out of any picture on your hard drive :]

How do you fix a totally messed up screen resolution?

My sister was playing some CD game that I believe runs on a different resolution then the one currently set. I'm not sure why this happened, because I used to play this game when i was much younger on my XP, and I did not have this problem. She was playing it (on ou Windows Vista laptop) and she says that suddenly the screen totally messed up. The colour is very pixelated, and only one quarter of the original screen is blown up to this huge picture. The mouse will only move in a quarter square of the screen. The screen is so blown up, that i can't even get to properties to change the resolution. I tried restarting the computer and then restarting it again, but it stayed the same. I'm stuck on ideas. The computer is now basically unusable, because it's so big i can't control the mouse, so i don't know how to recover the original resolution. What do I do?How do you fix a totally messed up screen resolution?
Right click on the desktop and select %26quot;Personalize.%26quot; Then select the last option which should say %26quot;Display settings.%26quot; A smaller window should pop up entitled, %26quot;Display settings.%26quot; Under where it says %26quot;Resolution:%26quot; there should be a slider bar. Just keep trying the next highest setting on and on until the picture look clear.

How do i get 1080p resolution?

I have two Vizio televisions: a 47%26quot; 1080P LCD, and a 42%26quot; 720P LCD. My question is this: I have the larger TV set up in my living room with the 42%26quot; in my bedroom. I've had the large one set up for a few months now and i'm pretty happy with it, except for when i press the INFO button, the resolution says 480i, even on the %26quot;HD channels%26quot;, even though i have HD Cable through Comcast here in Chicago. When i play the XBOX 360, it comes in 1080p. Just yesterday, the cable was ran upstairs and i finally have cable tv on the 42%26quot; 720P television. I was astounded when some channels came in clearer than the 1080P TV! I pressed INFO on that tv and it said 1080I on some of the channels.

How do i change the resolution on my 47%26quot; to look as good or better than 1080I?

Sorry for the long story but i really want you to understand where i'm coming from. Now the picture on my 47%26quot; is just not good enough for me anymore! lol. Thank you for your time and your patience people. How do i get 1080p resolution?
Either the cable box on the larger screen is hooked up different or isn't set to automatically adjust for the higher resolutions or the TV is not set to adjust. Check the settings of the TV to make sure its set to some sort of automatic resolution or aspect ratio and that the box is hooked up via component cables.......then there is usually an %26quot;HD wizard%26quot; setup configuration for the cable box....depending on what type of box it is, you may not have this feature and actually need to change the input on the TV when viewing hd channels....check with your cable company for the setup instructs and if you actually have an hd box.How do i get 1080p resolution?
Forget the 1080p that's blue ray. Cable TV and the 360 don't put out this information. 1080i is what your working with... Dude, all you need is the 5 plugged COMPONENT cable from Best Buy and both TVs will look marvelous. How do i get 1080p resolution?
It sounds like your 47 inch TV set is not using COMPONENT OR HDMI connections from the cable box for it......

That's the only way to get HD out of a cable box. Channel 3 is not HD....

Now, if EITHER TV set has an ATSC tuner built into it, you can get SOME channels in HD straight from the CABLE line....

But if you want ALL the HD stations, each TV needs it's own HD box....

I accidently set my monitor resolution to high and now there is no picture... how do i get it back?

usually there is a box that comes up for like 15 seconds asking if you want to keep the settings and if not it goes back to the way it was... well i waited and waited and waited... well nothing went back and now i dont know how to change it... and i cant see anything... its just blank... any advice???I accidently set my monitor resolution to high and now there is no picture... how do i get it back?
Restart the computer, and push the F8 key rappidly before the loading windows screen comes up. it should give you a menu. Choose VGA modeI accidently set my monitor resolution to high and now there is no picture... how do i get it back?
Try restarting your computer, if it still turns up black, try finding the menu button on your monitor and going to the screen resolution and setting it back manually, or you can just hit reset on the menu box that should pop up. You may even have a reset button on the monitor, so look for that as well.I accidently set my monitor resolution to high and now there is no picture... how do i get it back?
Start the computer in the Safe Mode (by tapping F8 while booting up)

You will get an 'ugly' screen but you should be able to navigate to reset the resolution you want. When done, reboot in the normal way.

    Good luck :)

  • How do I get better resolution on my HDTV using my ATI 9700 computer video card?

Ok, Here is what I got. I have an ATI Radeon 9700 video card, in a computer that I built using spare parts from my friends Alienware. I have it hooked up via S-Video cable to my TV which is a Samsung 50'' LCD HDTV. My problem is that even though I am running the latest drivers, the resolution on my TV image (which is a clone of my desktop) is just terrible. I have a friend with a RCA LCD 52'' hooked up in much the same way ( except he uses VGA, an option I don't have), but his picture is crystal clear. Is there a setting I can change to repair this? Or is my friends LCD just a better TV for this type of connection? Or are my dreams of having as crystal clear 50'' HD image to play Call of Duty 3 on just a bit too lofty? Should I try to upgrade to Vista (grrr) or just stick with XP Pro? Any advice, good or bad, would be much appreciated. Thank you!!How do I get better resolution on my HDTV using my ATI 9700 computer video card?
First of all, I would recommend making your computer's video resolution the same as the native resolution of your TV. Generally the resolutions are 1280x720 for a 720p TV and 1920x1080 for a 1080i/p TV. If you using a different resolution your TV is having to scale its display to match that resolution. Another thing I would try: use component video cables or DVI to connect to your TV, if that is an option on your video card/TV. They will provide a higher quality picture than your s-video cable. How do I get better resolution on my HDTV using my ATI 9700 computer video card?
Your problem is the S-Video connection. this is stuck at a 480i connection as that is the S-Video standard.

Your TV has to have a better way to connect to qualify as HD. You may need to get a video card that has a suitable output to match the TV's input. You will get the best picture from a DVI - DVI link, or HDMI to DVI, if your TV has DVI or HDMI inputs.

Do not upgrade to Vista, it is a video hog and a resource hog in general. It is also rather flakey.

Different user settings on Win XP Pro?

I'm on a network using windows XP pro, and i just set myself up with my own username so i couls have coustom settings. logged in, changed the background picture, few other settings, and went back to the old ID just to check. everything was how it used to be. so i go back in as my new ID and changed the screen resolution, just becuase, and then i find i need an icon from the old ID's desktop. log out, log in, BIG difference... The screen size change affected both user names somehow. what did i do wrong? i need to have my own screen resolution settings so that when other people log on it goes back to 1024x768. i'm using 1280x1024, and since i'm at a church computer where old people have to use this computer, they need the lower settings with bigger letters. any clue how to fix this?Different user settings on Win XP Pro?

    Dual Monitor Resolution Problem?

Hey guys. I would like to be able to use both of my monitors at once. I have an 8800 GT and i would be using a 22%26quot; widescreen monitor and a 15%26quot; crappy old one. I can get the picture to show up on both of them but i would like to change the resolution so that my big one uses 1680x1050 and my smaller one uses 1024x768. The problem is i can only figure out how to get it to use the maximum resolution of my old monitor (1024x768). I am using NVIDIA Control Panel to turn dual boxing on and off so far. How do i change the resolutions? Thanks guys!Dual Monitor Resolution Problem?
Try using the control panel with DualView. I am using 1 19 inch and 1 15 inch LCD monitors, and I have them configured to different resolutions through the control panel. Right click on your tray icon, go to whichever display you want to configure, then adjust the screen resolution and refresh rate and whatever else you like.

How to hook up a PS3 to a computer monitor using a HDMI to VGA adapter?

I have a male VGA to female HDMI adapter that i plugged into my monitor and the other to my PS3 and when i try to get a picture my monitor tells me that my resolution is not at the optimal setting and that it is recommended to use 1680x1050, so i change my resolution and it still doesn't work and i keep getting the same message about my resolution. what should i do or what should i be doing? anything is appreciated right now :DHow to hook up a PS3 to a computer monitor using a HDMI to VGA adapter?
Are you trying to run your ps3 at 1920x1080? (1080p) if so, your monitor probably wont support that resolution.

Try resetting your ps3 video settings by turning it off, and then when you turn it back on hold down the power button until you hear 2 beeps, the normal start-up beep, then the video reset beep shortly after wards.

Might also have to do with the fact that 1680x1050 is 8:5 aspect ratio instead of the HDTV 16:9

How can I get a good picture with a composite cable on a high def monitor?

I have a 24 inch hd monitor that displays 1920x1200. It has component, dvi, svideo, and composite hook ups. The problem is I have a lot of older game systems that I would like to use on it such as a dreamcast, gamecube, and playstation. When I hook them up using the yellow (composite) cable the picture is horrible due to the resolution of the monitor being so high. Is there any way to change this? They look great on my old tv with just the composite cables, the 1080p resolution just seems to stretch them to much on the monitor. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! How can I get a good picture with a composite cable on a high def monitor?
I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but there's nothing that can be done about the poor resolution when using the older, non high-def gaming systems.

It may be possible to change the aspect ratio, so at least the view is not being stretched horizontally in excess. Perhaps there is a %26quot;Ratio%26quot; or %26quot;Aspect Ratio%26quot; button on your TV's remote or in it's settings. That's the best you can hope for.How can I get a good picture with a composite cable on a high def monitor?
those old game systems weren't made for high definition. the only way you can make it look %26quot;sort of okay%26quot; (aka progressive scan, not interlaced) is to buy component cables for your Gamecube, and the VGA box for the dreamcast. the playstation is pretty much as good as it gets. you could try getting S-Video for it.

  • Can anyone explain to me about macros & how to identify them, also about resolution, Photoshop Elements 6?

I am trying to understand more about taking photographs and have a couple of hopefully simple queries!

I am going through my Photoshop Elements catalogue trying to tag all macros - I understand that a macro in simple terms is where the resulting image is the same size as or larger than the original. Is there any metadata that I can use to simply my search of over 8000 photographs?

Along the same lines - I am trying to understand about the resolution of the pictures. I have 2 cameras, one downloads all its photos at 180ppi, the other one all the photos show up as 72ppi (the correct resolution for viewing onscreen but not so good for printing).

I guess I need to find a setting on the cameras to determine what resolution they download using - but is there anyway in the resizing section that I can increase the ppi to make printing on my 1200ppi capable printer a little sharper?

It allows me to change the resolution, but if I do that and resample isn't it just %26quot;making up%26quot; the extra pixels it puts in?Can anyone explain to me about macros %26amp; how to identify them, also about resolution, Photoshop Elements 6?
In photography, a macro image is one where the subject size to image size is from 2:1 to 1:5 (using currently available lenses) Image magnifications beyond 1:5 fall into the realm of using microscopes

In computer programs, macros are a sequence of computing instructions as a single program statement that the user can write to enhance a file such as those used in spreadsheet programs.

Your question seems to be more than just one. Try breaking it down into some elemental questions and ask them again, one at a time.

    On Resolution:

    http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/dslr-com

This will help you understand what it is and how it works with digital cameras.

Basically, you need to assure that your camera is set at its highest resolution. Then any image files have a good chance of being able to suit your needs as a photographer.

On PPI (pixels per inch) and DPI (dots per inch)

http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/mpmyth.hCan anyone explain to me about macros %26amp; how to identify them, also about resolution, Photoshop Elements 6?
    1) Start - search - when asked for search use *.??? i.e. star ( shift 8 ) . ( dot / full stop ) and use the suffix that photo shop uses to save the macro file e.g. * .jpg is a search for a jpg file if photo shop use .mac then search for * .mac . but I dont use photo shop and understand a macro as something else . EDIT - It seems a macro photo is saved as any other image ( .jpg ) so you will need to do an advanced search of some kind. so in future put your macro pics in their own folder .

Picture size on LG Chocolate phone?

I just got a replacement for my LG Chocolate cell phone. The picture size on the replacement (same exact phone) is smaller than the picture size on my old LG. It's just annoying when I go to make one of my pictures my background, because instead of having the picture take up the whole screen, there are two big white bars on the top %26amp; bottom of the screen. I've tried changing the resolution size, but even the highest resolution (1280x960) yields the same result. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm assuming that it can be adjusted because it stretched on my old Chocolate. Thanks!Picture size on LG Chocolate phone?

    Edit a picture by MS-word?

right click on the picture then click on %26quot;format picture%26quot; click on the %26quot;size%26quot; tab, uncheck %26quot;lock aspect ratio%26quot; then edit your sizes.Edit a picture by MS-word?
Easiest way is to drag the bounding box of the picture when its selected and resize it as you want.

If you need more accuracy, jut right click the picture the choose Format Picture. Go to the Size tab and enter the exact size you need (usually in inches, but depends on your default unit of measurement). In MS Word 2007, just right click then head to Size and then the same thing applies.

You cannot change resolutions though, for that you'll need at least a basic graphics editor.

You cannot convert a picture in MS Word - it is not designed as a photo-editing program. What you can do is resize the picture to fit your document by clicking on it and dragging the corners in (or out) diagonally. Don't do the sides and top/bottom independently or you may end up altering the aspect ratio.Edit a picture by MS-word?
All you do is click on the picture and a frame appears around it. There are little boxes in each corner. If you pass your cursor over the box, it turns into a double-headed arrow. Once it looks like that double-headed arrow, hold down your mouse button and drag the little box in the direction that gives you the result that you want. You'll have to play with the output to get the exact size you want, as it probably won't match up to exactly what you see on your monitor and the passport has to be exact. Just print it on plain paper and measure it so you can make corrections as needed before you print your final copy. It's easy.

I just did this to verify to myself that it can be done, because I don't think the first answer is correct. If I just did it - it must be possible.

If it has been fairly recently that your computer made these unwanted changes to the screen size, you can try to do a System Restore to an Earlier Date to see if that will help at all. Go to Start Menu, then Control Panel, then to System Restore and then find an earlier date to restart your computer to. You won't lose any stored data, but the computer should just restore the settings for that date, so that if your screen was whole screen, it will restore itself.

You can also try to click and drag the frame of the application you are trying to do. Click on the top corner of the frame. You will see a diagonal arrow. Move it to the top edge of the screen. Then, once in place, click on Window on your toolbar and then select the Remember Size and Position option and this will also get your computer to change. (This is probably the easier of the two options I have listed here).

You should never EVER set your camera to anything less than best quality (i.e. lowest compression rate) and biggest size (highest resolution).

    The reasons for that include:

    1) If you have a good, large photo, you can crop it more later on without losing too much detail if you really have to.

    2) If you happen to take the best photo you ever took, you'll be able to print it at a large size. If you lowered size and quality, you'd be kicking yourself.

    3) If you decide later you really don't want to keep a big file, it is very easy to down-size it in post processing - but you can't go the other way, you can't invent pixels that weren't there in the first place.

    4) Memory cards are cheap, so are bigger hard drives. There is NO reason to do anything less than the best.

I don't understand how to convert my image from 1754 x 2480pixels to 300dpi as I think that they are different ways of measuring an images size. I used gimp to create the jpeg, and I am attempting to change (increase) the resolution in Microsoft office picture manager but the problem is that the size/properties isn't in dpi's so i don't know what it is now or how to get it to 300dpi. I hope this makes senseMy image is currentl 1754 x 2480 pixels and i need to change it to 300dpi how do i do that please?
Dpi or Ppi is different from image size (in pixels). Pixels is image size, Dpi is image resolution. Go to %26quot;Image%26quot; tab, then %26quot;Image size%26quot; and change Dpi settings from there (look for Dpi not pixels).

    Picture distortion problem?

Ok i have an image that i want to change the resolution from 1024 x 768 to 320 x 480 without having the stretch or any distorion in the image. I know it's posible but i don't know how. I can't just change the image size because it makes the picture look really tall and unnatural. please help.Picture distortion problem?
No you need to obey ratio of the Image unless the image will be worse

like 4:3 or 16:9 or 16:10 like that try to find an another closer resolution

I think the best ratio is 4:3 and the closer resolution is for your image is 640 x 480Picture distortion problem?
Convolve a Gaussian blur kernel with the source image and sample every 1024/320 th horizontal and every 768/480 th vertical pixel from the blurred image and copy it into a destination image array.Picture distortion problem?
    Not possible.

Best thing to do is to make the bottom longer, something like 1400 by 768. Then readjust it to 320 by 480 and hope the distortion isn't as bad.Picture distortion problem?
Your source image at 1024 x 768 is rectangular in the horizontal direction. 320 x 480 is rectangular in the vertical direction. There will be distortion when trying to go from one to the other. Perhaps you mean 480 x 320. That's much closer to the same shape. The width is always first, followed by the height.

If you really need it in 320 x 480, you'll have to crop off a lot of width before it fits without any distortion.Picture distortion problem?
    Try changing it here:

    http://www.picresize.com/Picture distortion problem?
A 1024x768 picture has an aspect ratio of 1.333333....

    A 320 x 480 picture has an aspect ratio of .66666......

Even if you turned the smaller picture sideways (480x320) you'd have an aspect ratio of 1.5

Therefore, it is impossible to resize the image as you want without stretching or distortion.

The absolute best you can do is resize the image to 320 x 240 (Aspect ratio of 1.333....) and place that image on a canvas of 320x480. You'll have whitespace above and/or below the image, but that's the best you can do.

    Photo Resolution Problem?

I have edited photos using Flickr.com.

Now when I send them to walmart.com to order prints, i get the message that my resolution is wrong and wont even let me do a 4x6 photo. How do I change the photos resolution so that the picture will be clear enough to have printed?? Thanks!Photo Resolution Problem?
The photos displayed on Flickr are LOW resolution and highly compressed. This is done automatically for fast viewing and to save storage space. You cannot %26quot;snatch%26quot; any displayed photo off Flickr and have a print made, .... as you have found out.

If you want to edit photos and then send the files to be printed, you can't do it going through some place like Flickr. Instead, I suggest you download GIMP. It is free and will allow you to do far more than you can on Flickr. You will be working on your full size, high resolution photo so that you will still have the capability to have prints made.

    Whenever I have a question/problem such as yours, I read the user's guide (aka %26quot;the manual%26quot;).

It is amazing just how much I always learn from that.

If that doesn't help (or if I'm interested in a product I don't own), I check the manufacturer's website.

They have descriptions and specs for their gadgets, often have user forums, and the decent manufacturers all let you download the manuals in electronic form (so losing the book is no longer a problem).

CODESTUFF STARTER is a startup manager, that allows you to view and manage all the programs that are starting automatically whenever Windows boots. It lists all the hidden registry entries, as well as the common Startup Folder items as well. You can choose to safely disable selected entries, edit them or delete them altogether (if you know what you re doing). Expert users can even add their own entries. Nice interface, easy to use, no documentation though (but hardly needed).

How do I adjust the picture resolution settings on my Canon Powershot?

I have a Canon PowerShot SD790 IS (the ELPH http://www.canon-digitalcamera.com/d/sal ), and it's unbelievable. The only problem is that they pictures it takes end up HUGE when I upload them to my computer (~2000 across and close to 3000 pixels high). While it's great for fine editing, the file size is just way too big for me to deal with when I want to put them on facebook or something.

A friend of mine told me that I can change the options in the camera menu, but I can't figure out how/where. Could someone help?

Thank you!How do I adjust the picture resolution settings on my Canon Powershot?
It's always best to shoot your images at the very best resolution and quality (Large/Superfine) and then resize copies ONLY, using photo editing software. That way you have the original in case you want to crop them or make copies or enlargements.

If you don't have photo editing software, I recommend you think about buying one (Photoshop Elements or Paintshop Pro Photo X2 are very affordable).

BUT...In Facebook, you can upload your huge files and Facebook automatically resizes them. I just tested it out by uploading a 4.25MB full size Jpeg image to Facebook and the image was automatically resized to a more web-friendly resolution.

So, in Facebook...give it a try.

But, you CAN of course change your resolution in-camera (look up 'Recording Pixels' in the Index of your User Guide). However, I wouldn't recommend you do it (at least not on a permanent basis).

For something simple like this you can use a free program called IrfanView. It will let you change the dimensions as well as the resolution (DPI setting). It can also keep the aspect ratio so that the image doesn't distort. Make sure your source image has the typical 4:3 format (800x600, 640x480, 320x240,etc.) and it will scale down nicely to the 92 x 68 you need.

Gimp is a great program but a bit of an overkill for something like this unless you are already familiar with it.

How do i change the screen resolution on a Sharp Aquos LC37D43U to work with xbox 360?

I cant seem to find where on the television or on the xbox 360 the correct place where i can change the resolution. The xbox is currently playing on 480p (i saw that number flash on the screen once), but the tv supports 720p/1080i. How do i change the resolution so i can get the games in high definition? As a point of reference, i do not have the hdmi connector (not supported by my xbox 360, and all the component cables are connected correctly). I am also using the xbox 360 as my dvd player, so i'm guessing the resolution will improve the quality of those as well.

Also, my standard analog cable (no digital or HD box) is producing a poor picture on the TV. Is this due to the resolution or just due to the poor signal? Can anything be done to make it clearer (besides the obvious of buying a digital or HD box)?

Thanks for your help. How do i change the screen resolution on a Sharp Aquos LC37D43U to work with xbox 360?
the first answer is right about the resolution. next this is how you change the resolution of the 360. the main screen on the 360 is the %26quot;dashboard%26quot; if this does not come up at first. then press the x-box logo button in the middle top of the controller. a side bar will apear. press the yellow %26quot;y%26quot; button. this will bring you to the dashboard. press left or right till you get to the settings menu. then go to display. youcan change the resolutionoutput to 720p or 1080i. id pick 720p since thats the native resolution of your tv. (youcan try both if you like but you probably wont notice any difference). and thats it you just changed your output resolution to hd. this will only affect your 360 games. any dvd will still be output in 480p. also your cable box produces poor picture because lcds as a whole tend to make regular tv broadcasts (480i) look bad. what you can try is to use another output from the cable box. if you are using the regular cable wire (coax) then try using a composite output , thats the yellow, red and white, rca cables. like the ones dvd players use. this is if your cable box has those outputs. this has a little better quality then the regular cable wire. also if youcable box has a s-video output use that insead of the yellow wire. you still use the red and white for sound. but the s-video had the better picture over the yellow. so unless you want to get a hd box and hd subscription, then s-video is the best connection. then the yellow rca wire, then the regular cable wire (coax). try it out. good luck. How do i change the screen resolution on a Sharp Aquos LC37D43U to work with xbox 360?
The screen resolution is not controlled by the TV but by the equipment hooked up to it. You saw the 480p flash on the screen which means your xbox is outputting 480p. For you to get higher resolution, the Xbox must configured to output 720p/1080i. As for how that would be done, I don't have an xbox so I can't advise you on that part. However I do have an upconverting DVD player and I had to set it up to output the 720p signal in order for my HDTV to display in 720p so I believe you need to do the same for your Xbox.

As for analog cable producing a poor picture, part of it is due to the standard tv signal being 480i. To get the best possible picture, use the higest quality output that your cable box has. Quality from highest to lowest, HDMI, component, s-video and composite.

    I hope this helps you.

  • How to increase picture resolution?

I recently had a %26quot;professional%26quot; photographer take pictures for my wedding. We went through a very long dispute because he gave me the pictures, copyright CD (edited), with 72 dpi pictures for $2000! This is lower than internet quality %26amp; I want to print a large picture for my wall someday. Right now, I want 11x14s for a photobook. I want the pictures clear %26amp; sharp. I did a 8x11 photobook for my parents %26amp; the larger pictures looked dotty. The pixels are 2592x3888 which is OK. I have Windows. But if MAC is better, I can borrow a friends computer. I need instructions on how to increase the dpi myself. Also, can the photographer change them all easily with a click of a button? He made it sound like extra work that I would need to pay for which I refuse. If it is easy, exactly how can he do this? I may do a complaint. I think he transfered all his orginals to his Mac.How to increase picture resolution?
You are trying to defraud the photographer and break the law by breaching legal copyright by the looks of it.How to increase picture resolution?
72 dpi is dots per inch for printing, where a ppi is 72 pixels per inch, check images again for properties/ info 72 is monitor quality, 96 is printer quality, ...

    pixels 2592 x 3888 = 36 x 54 %26quot; = 3 feet by 4.5 feet, ...

    approx 鈮?200 kb file size,

if at 6x9%26quot;, resolution is 432 ppi

    if at 300 ppi, image size is 8.6 x 12.9 %26quot;

check advanced print options when printing for dpi quality, for photo, usually around 300, may be adjustable on some printers, lower quality is for document settings,

    printer setup example:

    http://www.printerinfo.com/content/Epson

    http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC

    ______

increasing pixels per inch, would make image even large per say , if now at 3x4陆 feet, doubling to 6x9 feet, at 72 ppi, is 5184 x 7776 , not better, just bigger,

    2592 x 3888 is related to 10mp / megapixel of camera,

    8x13%26quot; @300 dpi estimate,

    http://www.firstglimpsemag.com/editorial

in photoshop or editor, you can try sharpening, or unsharpen mask, you could increase ppi resolution % wise, and may help, but best check printer options first,

    ..How to increase picture resolution?
Those should be fine. As stated above, when the DPI is set correctly for printing, you should have quality photos. Somehow it just sounds like you are doing printing at the 72 DPI number, which, of course, it too low. When the DPI is increased WITHOUT any resampling done, you can still get some relatively large photos, (I'm not going to repeat the same dimensions as given above, they are correct). Are you trying to print yourself? If so, you need to set the DPI correctly in a program such as Photoshop. If you are submitting the full size files to an online printer, then even sending at 72 DPI should be fine as they SHOULD print at the correct DPI for their printers at the given print size. Also, if there is a need to raise the resolution by some amount, an online lab has printer software such as RIPS that will do a MUCH better job of it that any home program you can use.

A Mac or PC makes no difference what so ever in this situation, the computer has nothing to do with it.

You have proper files for printing, but somewhere along the line they are not being output at the proper printer resolution.

If you need a GOOD lab for prints, Mpix is as good as they come:

    http://www.mpix.com

    steveHow to increase picture resolution?
You issue isn't about the 72 ppi images. You should contact your photographer and ask for the high resolution images. MANY photographers only give you the 72 ppi images, so that you HAVE to come back to them to get decent prints and enlargements. Call the photographer, he should still a have the images. Of course, he MAY say youdidn'tt have an agreement to get a copy of the hi-res images (he loses print money if you do).

But, trying to increase the resolution on the 72ppi jpgs will only make them blurry.

Help with HD gaming and tv?

I'm trying to play my xbox 360 on an hdtv, not playing on my regular tube tv because im on vacation. the problem is, if i go to turn, it takes a couple milisecdonds to respond, same with shooting, driving, whatever game im playing, and it throws me off to te point that its untolerable. i can still play it alright, but is there some way to calibrate the tv, change the resolution, or how can i make the response time almost instantaneous like my tube tv is.

do hdmi cables help at all? ive tried changing the picture to %26quot;gaming%26quot; modes and every other one it has, but it still doesnt work. help me out pleaseHelp with HD gaming and tv?
This is known as input lag. Some tvs have it worse than others. Basically it's caused by all this image post process editing that it does to make the image clearer. This however is bad for gaming. Game mode should eliminate most of it but if it doesn't get rid of it all, that is most likely the best your going to get out of that tv. Hdmi might help slightly but not worth buying one if you still experience lag on game mode as it will still likely be just as noticeable as before. Check to make sure that when game mode's on that every single post processing feature is turned off. Ex: Cinemotion/120hz, auto blackening features, everything that doesnt have to do with static colour and display like rgb and sharpness and contrast.

It is not just the screen that is having the problem but I suspect it is your graphics card that is possibly not able to display the correct resolution for the screen size required. You may find you need to experiment with the resolution sizes available to you to get the right image from your new screen.

There are several different Widescreen resolutions and assuming your graphics card is capable of it you should try them all to see which gives you the best image.

depending on the screen you have purchased try some of the resolutions listed below

well theres this website you can do this on called picnik.com. a lot of the stuff is free, some of the things you have to be a member for but i'm not one and i use it all the time for my myspace.com and things like that. and then when you're finished you can just right click the picture you edited and save it to you're computer. i hope this works. good luck to you.
