How can I get better resolution while using IE 8?

I am using Internet Explorer 8 with Windows XP. Just recently, when I look at graphics on websites, they seem blurry or grainy and that wasn't like that before. I don't know if something changed in my settings or on my computer, but what can I try to make the pictures look normal again? How can I get better resolution while using IE 8?
Check your graphic settings:

Right click on the desktop and select properties.

Select the Settings Tab and make sure the Color Settings are at it's highest setting. How can I get better resolution while using IE 8?
Try changing the Zoom percentage under the View drop down menu in IE 8. If that doesn't work, right click your desktop and then Properties. Go to the Settings tab and adjust your screen resolution there. That may solve things.
